Job Description

  • 214 hospital beds
  • 7 on / 7 off block schedule; 12-hour shifts
  • ADE is 19-20/day
  • No more than 3 admissions/day
  • Open ICU-Hospitalists admit to ICU, but do not continue care for
    patients in ICU

  • No procedures required, intensivists onsite
  • EMR: Meditech but will be switching over to EPIC 1-2 years
  • Staffing Model:
    • Day: 7 Physicians (7a-7p)
    • TeleHealth as a backup during any surge
    • Night: 1 Physician & 1 NPPA (7p-7a)

Facility Information

CHRISTUS Shreveport-Bossier Health System has provided health care in northwest Louisiana for over 125 years. CHRISTUS Highland, in southeast Shreveport, is a general acute care hospital that specializes in cardiac and orthopedic medicine, women's services and surgery. The Cancer Center is located on the Highland campus with an additional Cancer Clinic located in Bossier City.
