  • 43,000 Annual ED Volume
  • 116 Hospital Beds 20 ED Beds- 6 Fast Track Beds
  • EMR EPIC Physician- BC/BE in EM, FP, IM, GS with ACLS, ATLS, PALS
  • 30 Hours Physician Coverage- Mon-Wed, and Fri: 20 Hours
  • Thurs; 24 Hours
  • Sat-Sun 46 Hours Advanced Practitioner Coverage
  • Mon and Tues; 36 Hours
  • Wed-Fri; 24 Hours Sat-Sun

Facility Information

Ochsner University Hospital & Clinics is a not-for-profit, full-service, acute care hospital with 116 licensed beds catering to the health needs of the residents of Acadiana. The hospital is the largest primary care provider of this region. This facility serves as a primary graduate medical education center and a resident and fellow training facility. UHC is equipped with the resources to treat anything from major emergencies to minor illnesses.

Lafayette is at the heart of Louisiana's Cajun & Creole Country. This quaint town is located along the Vermilion River in southwestern Louisiana. Lafayette offers plenty of amenities, affordable housing and an array of options for public or private school education. The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is part of the University of Louisiana System and is the second-largest university in the state. Lafayette is only about an hour west of Baton Rouge and less than 3 hours west of New Orleans.
