Traverse City, MI – July 11, 2024 — SCP Health (SCP) is proud to announce the official opening of its new Traverse City Office on July 11. As the fourth hub of the national company, the new office location will house corporate employees in Michigan and serve as a regional hub to support local clinicians and communities across the Midwest.  

SCP’s presence in Traverse City is rooted in tradition. ECI Health Care Partners was founded in Traverse City in 1972 and flourished for many years before combining strengths and expanding national reach by joining forces with Schumacher Clinical Partners and Hospital Physician Partners to become SCP Health.    

“This community is one we want to continue growing in,” said Rob Reilly, President and Chief Operating Officer at SCP Health and a University of Michigan graduate. “It’s part of our history as an organization, and we believe it’s also part of our future, as we continue to grow in the Midwest.” 

 The Traverse City office was temporarily closed in March 2020 due to COVID-19, with employees working remotely. In seeking a return to office , the new downtown location better serves its employees and local clinicians and underscores SCP’s commitment to being an integral part of the communities it serves.  

“We have several new programs in local hospitals throughout Michigan and the Midwest, and our Traverse City hub plays a crucial role in supporting our clinicians,” said Ken Heinrich, Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of Emergency Medicine at SCP. “We aim to be close to the clinicians and patients we serve.”  

Traverse City is also home to SCP’s highest concentration of recruiters, credentialers, and schedulers, who support over 7,500 clinicians nationwide.  “We are looking forward to having the team back together, collaborating in one location,” said Dave Wilkening, Senior Vice President of Scheduling.   

In addition to their clinical presence in more than 460 hospitals across the United States, SCP Health also retains a nationwide presence with three other hub office locations – Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; and Lafayette, LA, – along with a number of remote field employees.
