Job Description

  • 70 hospital beds
  • Day: 1 Physician 7a-7p and NPPA 7a-3p
  • Night: 1 NP/PA with tele back up 7p-7a
  • Open 6 bed ICU
  • Procedures: Comfortable with Vent Management for emergencies
  • Collegial Work Environment with ED Managed by SCP
  • EMR: Meditech

Facility Information

LewisGale Hospital Alleghany serves patients in both Virginia and West Virginia. The hospital offers a full range of medical specialties from emergency medicine to general surgery. It is also home to the Senior Transitions program a 15-bed specialty unit for seniors with emotional and behavioral issues requiring short-term acute stabilization. LewisGale Hospital Alleghany is part of LewisGale Regional Health System an integrated network of closely aligned patient-care facilities that consistently rank among the top in the nation for patient care.

Alleghany County is an American county located on the far western edge of Commonwealth of Virginia. It is bordered by the Allegheny Mountains, from which the county derives its name, and it is the northernmost part of the Roanoke Region. This small town offers beautiful weather, local amenities, and a low cost of living. Low Moor is about an hour north of Roanoke and 3 hours west of Richmond. Alleghany County, North Carolina is renowned for its natural beauty, particularly its location within the Blue Ridge Mountains and along the New River. The area is also known for its Christmas tree industry, which is a significant agricultural producer, and for its cultural festivals and events that celebrate mountain heritage.
