Job Description

  • Level 1 Trauma Center
  • 590 beds
  • Full specialty support
  • Open ICU with Intensivist on site
  • 24/7 Critical Care Program managed by SCP Health
  • No procedures required
  • Staffing Model:

  • 6 MD/DOs 7am-7pm (1 admitting & 5 rounding)
  • 3 NP/PAs 7am-7pm (rounding)
  • 1 NP/PA 5pm-5am (cross coverage)
  • 1 MD/DO 7pm-7am (admitting)
  • Paid malpractice with unlimited tail coverage
  • EMR: Meditech
  • Qualifications:

  • NPs and PAs must have at least 1 year of experience in hospital
    medicine, cardiology, nephrology, pulmonology, critical care, or gastroenterology.

    Research Medical Center, a 590-bed hospital, located at 2316 East Meyer Boulevard in Kansas City, Missouri, is one of the region's leading acute-care hospitals and provides free parking for patients and visitors. The hospital offers a range of services to patients, including emergency care with a Level I Trauma Center, a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and effective treatment for heart attack and sepsis. Other specialized programs include traumatic brain injury, TIA, Grossman Burn Center, Gastrointestinal (GI) Center of Excellence, oncology care in partnership with Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute, 24-hour obstetrics ER, Level III NICU, Transplant Institute, Center for the Relief of Pain, orthopedics/sports medicine and much more.
