Job Description

  • Annual Volume: 22,000
  • Beds: 14 beds
  • Provider Coverage
    • Physicians work 7a-7p and 7p-7a
    • NPPAs work 1p-1a on Sunday and Monday and just 3p-1a the other
      days
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Requirements: ABEM/ABOEM or ABFM with emergency medicine
    experience

  • Certifications Required (if not ABEM or ABOEM)
    • ATLS, BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NRP (all need to be through AHA)
  • Subspecialties Available: Lab services and imaging (CT and x-ray)
  • Malpractice: Claims Based/Unlimited Tail

Facility Information

South Texas Health System ER Alamo is a brand new free-standing ED providing top quality care to the residents of this region. This facility is equipped with the same diagnostic technology and staffed with the same personnel found in any STHS hospital's emergency department. STHS ER Alamo offers emergency care services 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

The area including Alamo has been experiencing a construction boom for 5 years with new subdivisions, restaurants and businesses opening to the public. Alamo offers low cost of living, excellent K-12 education, great neighborhoods and plenty of amenities. Alamo is located 120 miles from Corpus Christi and 125 miles from Laredo.
