  • Specialty Support Available
  • Documentation-EPIC
  • Physician- ACLS, ATLS, PALS (if not EM BC/BE)
  • 3rd Year Residents Accepted
  • EM- Acute Care
  • 24-Hours Physician Coverage
  • Tele Cardiology, Physical Therapy, Rehab Unit, Psychiatric Unit

Ochsner Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital is a non-profit, general acute care facility The hospital employs approximately 90 full-time employees who deliver an array of services daily. Ochsner Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital was named among the top 20 critical access hospitals in the country by vantage Health Analytics, as announced by the National Rural Health Association.

Community Information

Kaplan, Louisiana, known as the gateway to Louisiana's wetlands, offers excellent hunting, fishing, crabbing, and shrimping only minutes away for lovers of the outdoors. The small city offers public school options for kids K-12 and a private school. Kaplan is a little over 2.5 hours west of New Orleans and about 40 minutes south of Lafayette.
