Partnership Story: Telemedicine Innovation Improves Patient Satisfaction, Market Reach, and ED Utilization

Faced with a persistent challenge of seeing a high volume of minor acute patients in their emergency department (ED), Lafayette General Health (LGH) turned to its long-standing partner, SCP Health (SCP) to help implement a solution.

Together, SCP and LGH launched Health Anywhere. an on-demand telemedicine program for minor-acute care needs staffed by a team of dedicated SCP providers. After piloting Health Anywhere internally, LGH expanded this program to the community, enabling residents to access Louisiana-licensed providers with no wait time.
