Job Description

  • 12,500 Annual ED Volume
  • 7-Bed ED
  • 22-Bed Critical Access Hospital
  • 24-Hours Physician Coverage
  • EMR T-System
  • Physician -BC/BE EM-IM-FP: 2 Years ER Exp- ATLS, ACLS, PALS-
    Interview w/ Medical Director & Hospital Admin

  • 3rd-Year EM-IM-FP Residents Accepted with Medical Director and
    Hospital Admin Approval

  • EM-Acute Care
  • 24-Hours Physician Coverage
  • 3.5 Nurses per Shift
  • Surgery, OB, Nursery, Lab, ICU, PT, OT, ST, RT, Ultrasound,
    Nuclear Medicine, CT, MRI and X-Ray

Facility Information

Bayou Bend Health System is a general medical and surgical hospital with 22 beds. The hospital offers in-patient and out-patient surgical services, emergency medicine, 4 bed centrally monitored Intensive Care Unit (ICU), maternity and newborn nursery services, respiratory, radiology, laboratory, and rehabilitation, speech, and nutritional therapies.

Community Information

Franklin is a charming town offering entertainment options, remarkable restaurants, and many festivals. The cost for housing is much lower than the national average and there are plenty of options for schools K-12. Franklin is only 1 hour south of Lafayette and less than 2 hours west of New Orleans.
