Job Description

  • 116 Acute Care Beds (incl. 10 ICU/PCU beds)
  • Open ICU, 10 ICU beds, ADC 8
  • Codes/Rapid Response handled by ED physicians
  • Tele ICU support
  • EMR: Epic
  • No required procedures
  • Dedicated NP/PA Admitter

Staffing Model:

  • 12-hour shift, (7a-7p, 7p-7a)
  • 7 on/7off schedule
  • Days: 3 MDs & 1 NP (8a-8p, primary focus: admissions)
  • Nights: 1 MD

Physician Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible or Certified in Internal or Family Medicine
  • Be within 7 years of graduation
  • Or 2 years prior hospitalist experience

NP/PA Qualifications:

  • Board Certified as Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • 2 years prior hospitalist experience

Greeneville Community Hospital East is a 140-bed facility part of Ballad Health, a system operating a family of 21 hospitals, including three tertiary medical centers, a dedicated children?s hospital, community hospitals, and much more. With the objective of delivering quality care to the residents of this area, Greeneville Community Hospital offers a wide array of services including 24/7 emergency department, acute inpatient, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, ICU, obstetrics/women?s health and imaging, surgery, and much more.
