LAFAYETTE, LA – Jul. 20, 2020 – Becker’s Hospital Review released their annual ranking of the top 150 Great locations to Work in Healthcare, as well as the 100 Great Community Hospitals list. Five SCP clients were recognized in these categories for their outstanding service in healthcare and their communities.
Lafayette General Health (LGH) and Ochsner Health System – both in Louisiana – and Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Kentucky were listed in the 150 Great locations to Work in Healthcare report. LGH was cited as a facility that invests in employees, helps them achieve their professional goals, and was named by Computerworld in 2015 as a top location to work in IT. Ochsner, one Louisiana’s largest non-profit, academic healthcare systems, is “driven by a mission to Serve, Heal, Lead, Educate and Innovate,” according to Becker’s, and offers a strong rewards and recognition program to employees. Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY, was cited for their incredibly strong job security – the facility has not had a workforce reduction since it opened in 1951.
Franklin Woods Community Hospital in Johnson City, TN, and University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center in Ashland, OH, both received recognition on the 100 Great Community Hospitals list. The report defines the recipients as facilities “with fewer than 550 beds that have minimal teaching programs” with additional recognition from a number of respected vendors. Franklin Woods Community Hospital was recognized by Truven as a 100 Top Hospital in 2016 and, as part of Johnson City, Tenn.-based Mountain States Health Alliance, was also named among the 100 best hospitals for pulmonary care in 2014, 2015 and 2016 by Healthgrades. University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center is part of Cleveland-based University Hospitals. iVantage recently named UH Samaritan Medical Center to its Top 100 Rural & Community Hospital list.
